At The Fives Oceanfront and The Fives Downtown, we understand your pet is just as important as any other family member. We are proud to be a pet-friendly resort in Puerto Morelos and welcome companions up to 25 pounds (11 kg) in selected rooms.

In order to ensure that all of our guests enjoy a pleasant stay, we kindly ask those traveling with their four-legged companions to review and sign the following policy upon check-in.

I have read and agree to the following:

• My pet(s) weighs 25 pounds (11 kg) or less.
• I understand that only one pet is allowed per guest room.
• My pet’s vaccinations are up to date and he or she is free of fleas or ticks.
• My pet is not aggressive and is well socialized with other animals and guests.
• I agree to clean up after my pet and properly dispose of any waste.
• I understand that pets are not allowed on the furniture.
• My pet will always remain with me and under my care; pets may not be left unattended on the property.
• I agree to place the “Pets are Welcome” door hanger on my room while my pet is inside. I understand that Housekeeping will not enter if an unattended pet is present. My pet must be removed or restrained while hotel staff is servicing the room. I will notify the Front Desk if special cleaning times are needed.
• My pet will always be on a leash with a maximum length of six feet, or in a carrier, when outside the room.
• I understand that a $75 USD non-refundable pet fee will be charged upon check-in for post-departure room cleaning. This fee covers the first three nights; an additional $25 USD per day applies thereafter. This fee does not cover excessive cleaning or damage to linens, carpeting, or furniture.
• I agree that the condition of the room will be determined solely by hotel management at the time of departure.
• As a pet owner, I am responsible for any disturbances caused by my pet. I understand a fee of up to $500 USD may apply. After a second reported disturbance, The Fives Oceanfront may request that the pet be removed from the property.
• I understand that my pet is not permitted in any food and beverage outlets, the community pool, fitness center, or meeting rooms.
• The Fives Oceanfront is not liable for any injury sustained by my pet while on hotel premises.
• I accept full responsibility for any liability arising from my pet, including damage or injury to hotel staff, guests, third parties, or property.
• I acknowledge that I have been informed of the pet-friendly policies and procedures of The Fives Oceanfront and understand that additional fees may apply in the event of damage, excessive noise, or flea infestation.
